On the 1st of September Götz Gieselmann, CEO alongside Bodo Müller CTO, announced celebratory “We are proud of 40 years of existence of JOB GmbH”.
As leading division of detectomat GmbH and detectomat living GmbH, the innovative JOB GmbH had any reason to celebrate true to the motto “40Years JOB – 40Years of innovation”.
An overview by the management was given bilingually of the most important milestones of JOB GmbH.
“With the invention of the JOB THERMO BULB 40 years ago, history was written right from the beginning”, mentioned Götz Gieselmann. “In 1994 we had become the world market leader and since that, we retain global market shares of 78%. Naturally we will continue growth in future due to our numerous patents.”
However, detectomat GmbH is not less successful than the JOB GmbH. The system provider and developer could establish its business and know-how world-wide in the field of fire detection technology and can look back on mere than 35 years of successful history.
Together with associate partner, customer, representatives of union, industry and politics, the entire JOB group was celebrating its anniversary on the 9th of September 2011.
On this occasion, the inauguration of the precision glass drawing machine was occurring at the headquarters in Ahrensburg as one of the latest developments of the JOB GmbH.
Together with Bodo Müller and Götz Gieselmann, Mrs Tamara Zieschang, invited Secretary of State, pressed the starter button for the start of production. Unfortunately, the invited Minister President of Schleswig-Holstein, Mr Peter Harry Carstensen, was excused for health reason.
Dr Zieschang was deeply impressed of the exceptional innovative strength of JOB GmbH and mentioned “We are fully aware of the importance of small and medium sized businesses for our future economic development.”

Michael Sarach, mayor of Ahrensburg and Dr. Bernd Bösche, managing director of business development of Schleswig-Holstein (WTSH) agreed with Dr. Zieschang.
But they were also impressed and referred to the importance of JOB GmbH for the economy.
JOB GmbH as world-market leader for thermal release elements in Ahrensburg, is using glass tubes for the production of bulbs. JOB THERMO BULBS as end product will be produced within 85 production steps and will be used mainly in sprinkler heads.
JOB GmbH gained its international excellent reputation for decades through its quality products and precise release characteristics due to precisely defined temperature. Any discrepancy in diameter and size of the glass would jeopardize the precise release of the sprinkler in the event of fire! Therefore, every single glass bulb will be tested 804 times before leaving the factory in Ahrensburg.
Following the inauguration of the precision glass drawing machine of almost 15m length, an entertainment program for the invited guests was offered. But the program was also supplemented with relevant lectures, presentation, tests and also information about the Eduard-Job-Foundation and its corresponding thermo and matter dynamics
An in-house family and employees` party completed the anniversary on the next day.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our employees for all their ambitious efforts and loyalty for the last 40 years.”, mentioned Bodo Müller. “With a day off, lots of attraction and delicious treats we`ll start straight in to the next year of the JOB group!”
